Not a very pleasant start to my blogging life, I know, but I needed to be heard. Here is a picture of my Macbook, after only 8 months of use. Never been dropped once, always carried in its expensive protective case (booq) or kept on the desk. The stress cracks started to appear just 2 weeks after I bought the computer, but I couldn't give it back to service because it was my only computer and I was desperately in need of one ( university and thesis)
Tomorrow, i'm giving it to the service. The guy seemed to be friendly, he said the huge crack above the infrared receiver is going to be replaced without any problem. But when I mentioned the other cracks surrounding the entire main case, he was quite reluctant to say they would replace it. Keeping my fingers crossed..

oh, I was about to forget, the reason why I started writing is, that, since I'm giving my comp. to the service, i'll have limited access to the internet. Patience friends, patience..

UPDATE NO: 1
4.09.07: I gave it back to the service, the guy claimed it was gonna take around 1 week, all would be replaced,it is a common problem, and under warranty i'd not pay anything. I wanna believe everything he said, but i don't have faith in apple's customer care (esp. for the ones without applecare. i mean the sole presence of the applecare system is kinda a sign, isn't it ? )

Bu arada benim de dun gece aklima sana sey demek geldiydi: Ben applelari sevmiyorum ama hardware olarak cok iyiler, sadece Mac OS'u isletim sistemi olarak sevmedigimi soyliycektim. Simdiye kadar sanki toptan aletlere kilmisim gibi bi izlenim biraktim cunku. Fakat hardware olarak baya iyi aletler, ekran kalitesi, dvd sürücüsü, inceligi, hafifligi, vs... Keske default olarak windows kullanabilseydik. Mac OS X ile emule etmeden yani.
Yanniz senin alette simdi bole catlaklar falan olusunca acaba hardware olarak da mi sevmesem diye dusundum, en azindan malzeme kalitesi sikko mu diye dusunmuyo deilim, ama benim alette tek bi catlak yok. Belki de senin kadar fazla kullanmadigimizdan aleti

edebiliorsun zaten, ama seninkinde degil benimkinde. intel islemcili olan maclerde boot camp diye bir olay var artik, ana os olarak windows kullaniyorsun. emulator ile kullanmak istersen parallels desktop var, yine intel islemciler icin. ayrica, boot camp ile windows yukleyip, paralells ile onu emulator olarak da kullanabilyorsun ayrica. istersen dual boot , istersen emulator. macbook alma nedenlerimden biri buydu benim zaten, baktim isler iyi gitmiyor , cat diye windowsa gecebilirdim komple. hardware apple, windows xp ya da vista. ama Mac OS i sevince kaldim mac de...
